Glacier FTI

GLACIER FTI is GMI’s pioneer cold chain logistics plant. It took over food terminal development and operations from the erstwhile Food Terminal Incorporated in 2005. Its facilities accommodates bulk stock volumes for most of the food processors in the Taguig and adjoining areas.

Its 3,219 movable tower racks and shelves enables GFTI to effectively balance refrigeration capacity against variable refrigeration demand profiles. Its bulk storage facilities also include portable refrigerated containers by its loading bay doors. These provide clients flexibility and advantage to quickly and sufficiently respond to fluctuating volumes of inbound and outbound logistical needs.

The plant’s cold temperature spaces are the country’s first ever installation to use a decentralized refrigeration system. Its modern data acquisition systems measure and read out storage space temperatures, relative humidity and other critical operational information in real time. These efficiently serve a wide range of clients that require varying ranges of refrigerating conditions.
