GLACIER SOUTH Phase 1 and 2 is GMI’s largest cold storage facility. It is built on a sprawling expanse of property at the AmVel Business Park in Paranaque. It serves the cold chain logistical requirements of the southern half of Metro Manila including adjoining areas in Laguna and Cavite at high levels of assurance in quality, safety and productivity. The plant efficiently handles and delivers stocks that require food quality preservation to include related sorting, cross docking, mixing, assembly and delivery to locations within its reach under stringent standards of hygiene.

GSouth’s Plants 1 and 2 has a total of 10,216 palleted rack and shelf spaces. Multiple loading bay doors for containers of various sizes to dock, plug in and load and unload cargo complement its huge storage capacity. Its dense matrix of multi-level cold storage racks and shelves are housed in rooms that provide a wide range of cold storage temperatures. Its spacious yard is designed for conveniently and safely maneuvering both inbound and outbound cargo container trucks.

As a meeting place between food service establishments and their respective raw materials suppliers, GSouth 1 and 2 helps reduce and optimize warehousing and distribution cost for its growing base of clients in the industry. The plant is the first of succeeding others in the Glacier network of cold storage facilities to be certified under stringent and exacting ISO standards for Quality Management Systems (ISO:9001/2015) and Food Safety Management Systems (ISO:22000/2005), hallmarks of Glacier commitment safe, secure and efficient preservation and handling of perishable goods.
